They didn't explain it, they just said it's coming. We waited ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES for our food, and no one approached the table to explain the wait until an hour later. This last time I was here, the "chef changed" so our chicken tikka masala tasted completely different. I get that that is common, but it isn't a free pass to serve terribly. They still, however, charge an automatic 18% gratuity for larger groups despite the awful service. Since then, this has happened two more times. I let it go the first time in July thinking everyone has an off day. The orders are wrong, we don't get the proper amount of silverware, no one comes to check on the meal quality or to ask if we need anything, and chasing down the waiter for a check or a box is a nightmare. However, the last three times I have been here over a period of six months, the service has declined to a deplorable level. Five star cuisine, good service, no doubt. So I have been eating here for almost two years.
